CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE AGE OF THE CORONAVIRUS

In times of crisis, solidarity in society also grows. Companies that have a responsibility to take care of their employees, their health, while sustaining their businesses, have the opportunity to also care for the wider community and the most vulnerable families and individuals.

Our longtime friends from the Divac Foundation gathered donations from the diaspora as a fundraising, and on Monday, March 30th, the initial 1,000 hygiene packages will be delivered for 2,600 people in Belgrade.

“The supply of disinfectants and protective equipment is centralized across the state, and we are in contact with local organizations that provide food and essential hygiene products for those in need. These are poor people, people with disabilities, single parents and homeless people who can collect packages with basic necessities at local centers or can get them delivered at home with the help of volunteers", said Uros Delic from the Divac Foundation and invited companies and employees to join them.

Each year, companies in Serbia donate around 10 million euros, and in 2020 this amount will certainly be much higher as many companies presently donate their products, do not charge for services and donate money for the purchase of respirators, protective equipment, as well as packages with food and hygiene products.
